Westfield Garden State Plaza, recognized by the New York Times as one of the most influential shopping centers in the entire United States, has joined the social media revolution in a big way!

With new Facebook and Twitter pages, the shopping center is connecting in real time with its customers — offering tips on the hottest sales and styles available on property, and giving up-to-the-moment reminders of special in-mall events.

The recent midnight screening of the Harry Potter film premiere, the appearance of that film’s Tom Felton (who plays the character “Draco Malfoy”), and the sighting on property of one of the stars of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” were among Garden State Plaza’s most successful updates / “tweets”.

The center’s Facebook and Twitter pages will also be offering customers fashion tips from style experts and apparel advice for every age and for every occasion.  View the recap here.

To the delight of local residents and visitors from across much of northern California all the way to Lake Tahoe and the Sierras, the new luxury lineup at Westfield Galleria at Roseville offers an unprecdented level of fashion sophistication in an exclusive new setting.

Louis Vuitton opened its doors on property last fall, with new openings in 2009-10 featuring Burberry, Lacoste, Juicy Couture, lululemon, True Religion, Tommy Bahama, and The Apple Store.

The transformation of Westfield Galleria at Roseville also has included the introduction of new locations for H&M, Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, and Restoration Hardware—while The Cheesecake Factory has joined the likes of Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Il Fornaio in a lineup of high visibility signature restaurants.

20 miles northeast of Sacramento, the community of Roseville has been singled out as one of the “Best Places to Live” by Money Magazine (2008), and Placer County’s 34% population growth rate between 2000 and 2007 placed it within the top 1% of fastest-growing U.S. counties.

Delivering Savings and Convenience to every Westfield customer

Looking for that perfect outfit, but don’t want to spend more than, let’s say, $50?

Westfield is making it easy for you.

To help shoppers during challenging economic times, Westfield has launched fabfinds, a money-saving program that lets our customers get the best values available at each of our shopping centers.

What is fabfinds?

fabfinds is an updated weekly directory (available online and in each Westfield shopping center) detailing which stores are offering the most enticing sales… and which specific products are most significantly discounted at any particular time.

fabfinds is a great way for all of our customers to get the most value out of every shopping trip.

More information:

Working hand in hand with national, regional and local retail partners, fabfinds continuously researches sales and promotions, some exclusive to Westfield, and delivers the valuable information directly to shoppers, both in-center and on each center’s website.

Each week, shoppers are able to pick up from prominent in-center displays and from the Westfield Concierge desk an updated brochure featuring the best, most updated retailer offers, specials and promotions.

fabfinds are also available from every single Westfield shopping center’s individual website as well as on Westfield.com – where shoppers can browse sales information and special offers for virtually all of the retailers at any Westfield shopping center.  Offers can be sorted by retailer & category and shoppers can even use the website to reserve specific items for pickup.

An abiding commitment to the communities we serve.

Westfield and its shopping centers are only successful to the extent that we are able to serve our shoppers and our communities.

An important part of this civic commitment is Westfield’s longstanding philanthropic activity in local communities and across the nation.

One of Westfield’s most rewarding partnerships has been with Special Olympics.

For the past 13 years, Westfield has been a founding sponsor of Pier del Sol, Special Olympics Southern California’s biggest annual fundraiser.

During this time, Westfield has helped raise over $4 million for this event and cause.

This year’s Pier del Sol event takes place on Sunday, 4 October 2009 at 10:00 am. The event is located at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California.

Pier del Sol is a day of fun and family activity.  Attendees enjoy gourmet brunch from some of L.A.’s finest restaurants, arts & crafts, amusement park rides and game booths, a great silent auction and more!

The event is attended by the athletes in the local Special Olympics chapters, supporters of Special Olympics Southern California, the general public, celebrities and sponsors.

All proceeds from Pier del Sol directly benefit the 13,000+ athletes served by Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC).

To support Special Olympics Southern California or take part in Pier del Sol 2009, please see the Pier del Sol website.
