In addition to its regional shopping center business, Westfield manages retail concessions at some of the country’s busiest airports.
Westfield leases, repositions, and remerchandises its airport concession facilities to give the traveling public a dynamic and visually appealing selection of retail and restaurants not typically found in the airport environment.
In November, Westfield Airport Concession Management programs were honored with two first place awards at the 2009 Airports Council International – North America’s (ACI-NA) Concessions Conference.
The winners were:
• Westfield’s program at Newark Liberty International Airport – Terminal
C – recognized as North America’s Best Food & Beverage Program.
This award comes on the heels of Terminal C’s 2008 first place ACI-NA awards as the Best Specialty Retail and Best Convenience Retail Programs in North America.
• Westfield’s program at John F. Kennedy International Airport –
Terminal 8— recognized for excellence as Bobby Van’s Steakhouse and Grill won Best New Food & Beverage Concept in North America.
The first-ever airport Bobby Van’s location offers a full-service bar and a 140-seat dining area.
